General Info

Tucked away in Raleigh, Wang's Kitchen is the kind of Chinese restaurant that locals keep coming back to for a reliable, satisfying meal. From the moment you step up to order, there’s a no-fuss, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in-whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or just dining solo after a long day.

The menu leans into classic Chinese takeout favorites, but what really stood out during my visit was the Shrimp Chow Mein. It arrived hot, packed with tender shrimp, crisp vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles that weren’t greasy or overly heavy. Each bite felt balanced, which isn’t always the case with dishes like this. It’s one of those plates you keep going back to, even when you’re already full.

Service here is straightforward and convenient. If you’re in a rush, delivery is available and runs smoothly, making it a solid option for busy weekdays. At lunchtime, the place gets a steady flow of customers, but the pace stays efficient. It’s also a comfortable spot for solo dining-no pressure, no wait, just good food when you need it. Accessibility is clearly considered too, with a wheelchair accessible parking lot that makes visiting easier for everyone.

Another thing I appreciated is how easy payment is. They accept debit cards, which is always a plus when you don’t feel like dealing with cash. It’s a small detail, but it adds to the overall convenience of the experience.

What really defines Wang’s Kitchen, though, is consistency. The portions are generous, the flavors stay true, and the experience feels dependable every time. Reviews from regulars often echo the same sentiment: it’s not about being flashy, it’s about getting your favorite dishes done right.

If you’re exploring Chinese restaurants in this part of Raleigh, this spot earns its place through simple, well-executed food and practical service. The combination of a solid menu, accessible location, and easy ordering options makes it one of those places you end up bookmarking for repeat visits.

What customers say?

“ Dirt cheap. Simple basic menu. Not fancy but as tasty as any high priced Chinese restaurant. Lunch portion of shrimp lo menu was under $6 and could have fed 2. ”

“ We’ve gotten takeout here many times. Fresh and well cooked food at a really reasonable price, ready in ten minutes. What more could you ask for! ”

- Curtis Stith -

“ My favorite place to eat Chinese food: affordable, clean, tasty and plenty of options. The guy at the front desk is always good at pointing out options to combine my dishes with and he’s always attentive to everyone ”

- Maria Camacho -

“ Bad ass Chinese food place! Glad to have it right by where I live! I love the general chicken and seasame shrimp, along with the eggrolls. ”

- Madyson Pittman -

“ This was my first time here. I ordered online, however, there was no indication that there were two separate lines, one to order and another to pick up, so I waited in the wrong line for about 5 minutes until I noticed others walking up and picking up their orders. There was only one person running the front and he was very nice. The restaurant was fairly clean but did have a sewerage odor in the air. I requested lightly spicy for one of my entrees but there was no spice at all. Overall, the food was ok, portions are decent, and the prices were very reasonable in comparison to others. ”

“ The store looks much cleaner..countertops and the plexiglass...the food is delicious. The only fried chicken that is better than Wang's is my fried chicken..food was hot and we can get two meals...also take the large shrimp fried rice and place two eggs in a skillet..the best breakfast...I know how to stretch my dollars!!! ”

- Suzanne Burton -

“ Bone Spare Rib and Noodles for 9.80 It’s so filling and very quick depending on how many previous orders are being awaited. Very Delicious ”

- Kyubi -

“ This place is so good, my fiancé and I come here almost every week. Every time it’s good service, delicious food, and it’s honestly one of our favorite meals… especially when we don’t feel like cooking ourselves or doing the dishes… They’ve never let us down, and they give large portions! ”
